GREEN HOUSES

Vision Supply with close collaboration of CARD-F supported more than 200 farmers in Kishem District in the construction of, and training in commercial greenhouse operations. With an average 350 square meters per production unit, total area in production will be 7 Hectares.  It is expected that production will be increased by 2,450 tons and that 300 full time equivalent jobs will have been created.

BIOCLIMATIC STORAGE

Vision Supply with collaboration of CARD-F established 100 bioclimatic stores of 45 cubic meters, to take advantage of the potentially high return on investment for storage of potatoes, onions and some other crops. This will enable 100 existing vegetable producers to double their income from the production of onions and potatoes directly as a result of bioclimatic storage of their produce during the winter months, and 500 farmers to diversify production into high value horticultural field crops as a result of the construction of the bioclimatic stores.
